About Anuranjan Jha



Coming from Phulwaria, a small hamlet in the Champaran district of Bihar, Anuranjan Jha has a well-known persona in the world of media. For the past 25 years, while Mr Jha was praised for his frank, unbiased opinions and constructive experimentation in journalism, he was also instrumental in exposing social corruption at various levels. At the young age of 30, he became the News Director of "India News" and later also became the Editor-in-Chief and COO of "CNEB". His first book "Ramleela-Maidan", brought out the untold reality of Anna Andolan. His second book, "Gandhi-Maidan, " unfolds the bluff of social justice in Bihar's politics for the race to power. And third "Jhoom", in which he accounted harsh reality of liquor prohibition in Bihar. Very recently English version of His first book "Ramleela-Maidan". Published with the name of “A series of False Gods.

Early life and education

Jha hails from a small village called Phulwaria, in the Motihari district of Bihar and belongs from a patriotic and writer's family. His grandfather's elder brother Ramesh Chandra Jha was the most prominent author. He is graduated in History from University of Delhi and received a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.


He is a cerebral man and has worked with companies like Zee News, AajTak, India TV and CobraPost. He started his Journalism career with Print Media and worked with Indian Express and Jansatta as correspondent. He founded Park Media Pvt Ltd. in the year 2009,and became the Managing Director of a well-known Media company Vertent Media Soft Pvt. Ltd in 2012. The company has a full-fledged 24 hour lifestyle/entertainment TV channel called ‘Shagun TV’. Shagun is India's first matrimonial TV channel, established by a collaboration with the‘Park Media Pvt. Ltd’.

Currently he is in the board of four different media companies . www.thewebradio.in is his latest venture in the field of media. Anuranjan Jha is founder of LAUK, india's first ever video conferencing platform. Anuranjan Jha started a News and Investigative Web Portal Media Sarkar.com in 2010. He is currently founder and CEO of Media Sarkar, which came into light after conducting a sting operation in which several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders were purportedly caught recovering money from individuals and getting the land deals done, agreed to extend their support in return for donations in cash. This sting operation created the huge panic and troubles in Aam Aadmi Party. On 22 Nov 2013,the website crashed after receiving its heaviest traffic ever.

He has been writing features, articles, columns on different social and political issues in many national newspapers, magazines and journals.
